Reflecting on my past three years of high school i have learned to be a respectful, and responsible student. The atmosphere at Lindsay high school in my opinion the teachers don't treat you like you are little kids they treat you like adults and expect you to act like one. One thing i love about LHS is how close you get with your teachers and friends, you create a bond that can never be broken or taken away. As an athlete at lindsay high you tend to have a lot on your plate with all of your activities so what i learned you have to do is get your priorities straight, be organized, plan ahead and don't slack off. I remember my junior year first semester i didn't make grades for baseball and i couldn't play for six weeks i was devastated that i couldn't be with my teammates so that taught me to get my work done. Another important aspect i realized is that high school goes by so fast, just yesterday it felt like i was a freshman now i'm a senior. Time really does fly by, but i know i wouldn't be where i'm at today if i didn't buckle down on my studies.
So Far, my senior year is going pretty good i got all the classes that i wanted and i have a lot of friends in each one of my classes. I feel pretty good about my first week of school because i'm staying on top of my homework and i'm actually understanding the content, in the past i had trouble with understanding content. As of right now i am on pace in all of my classes and i plan to keep it like that all year. I do not tend to slack off one bit because in your senior year it is so crucial not to miss one deadline. I am currently not working on anything for my senior project because my teacher junior year didn't have us do anything for senior project.
What i am mostly looking for in my senior year is many great memories, and to pass all my classes and graduate with at least a GPA of 3.6 i am currently at a 3.1 but i have faith in myself that i will reach my goal. I also want to apply for many scholarships, join a club, take the SAT and anything else possible to get into a great college. My plan is to go to a four year college and get a degree so i can make something of myself. One of my MAIN goals for senior year is to find out what i truly want to do with my life. One thing i do know is that i love baseball and i really want to become a professional baseball player, i have dedicated myself to working out and practicing to accomplish my goal. Realistically i can not rely on baseball as my ticket out yes its what i really want to do with my life but i also have other interests but it's a matter of finding what those interests are so i can use them as a backup plan.

I am currently passing 6/7 classes so in my opinion it's exceptionally acceptable for now, just because i have always struggled in math, however i am working on getting caught up. Since i'm behind pace in algebra 2 i have been staying after school at least twice a week. Even though i am on pace in 6 of my classes doesn't mean i'm not struggling, I still struggle to complete all of my HomeWork every night. I attend red zone after school every day and finish most of my work at the library if not at home later that night. I am very close to be on pace in all of my classes, I believe that by the next grading period i will be on pace and passing 7/7.
It is to my understanding that by the end of the semester i will be on pace in all of my classes, i am trying tremendously to stay caught up and not fall behind pace, because come next semester it turns into a whole new “ball park”. What i mean is by second semester if i'm not done with first semester work then i have to take time to work on that while staying on track with second semester work, as you can tell it is important for me to stay on track for next semester if i want to graduate high school on time and go to college. To top it off baseball season is right around the corner and it is the only sport i play. Baseball is also very important to me, i have had a deep passion for baseball since i was a little kid. This is another main reason i tend to stay on track along with going to college. I plan on attending a 4 year university.
What am i enjoying about my senior project ? i am enjoying how most of our work is either based off of how we feel and or where we stand with certain topics. Senior year is still sinking in, i am somewhat shocked about how fast my life has gone by. i'm going to from seeing the same faces every day to potentially never seeing them again. To potentially meeting people i never knew existed. So i guess what i'm trying to say is that even though i want to graduate and become my own person i will miss the high school environment.
I am currently trying to get mentally ready to prepare for graduation and to start the next chapter in my life, along with continuing my school work, i have filled out four applications to university which i plan on choosing one to go to. When i attend college i am really looking forward to playing baseball. like i said before baseball in my passion and i'm always looking to get better and have fun playing the game. If college ball works out and i have an opportunity to play in the MLB then i would definitely take advantage of it. However realistically it doesn't happen overnight, i have to prepare mentally and physically from now til then and if it doesn't work out then i would be okay with that. As long as i know i tried is all that matters.

How was my Winter Breaker break ? My winter break was exceptionally good, i did many things over the break mostly with my family. The first week off i spent the entire time on a cruise ship with my family. Throughout the cruise we stopped twice, once in Catalina Island and once in Ensenada. My favorite place was Catalina island because it was nice and breezy and was an all around a beautiful place. Although the stores were nice they were very expensive, so i didn't buy anything. However my sister made the mistake of wearing shoes that hurt her feet, so she caved in and bought a pair of sandals for $40 dollars, i laughed because she caved and had to spend money when it wasn't necessary. The rest of my Break involved me hanging out with my dads and moms side of the family so we had a lot of quality time together. All i did over the break was hang out with family so it was time well spent. Reflecting on this past semester I think I miss the school memories we all shared. For instance I miss the rallies, the football games, dress up days, stuff like that. I believe that I miss these activities because as much as i want to graduate and move on to the next step toward my future, there's a part of me deep down that doesn't want to grow up, but that's apart of life. The Reality of last semester has hit me in a big way. Over my break I was thinking a lot about my future and what I wanted to do with my life. What do i need to accomplish before I graduate ? Before I graduate I need to finish Accounting, Economics, English, Multi-Media, and chemistry all of which i am on pace in. I believe i will finish all classes on time without a problem. By saying that i am determined to stay focused and keep myself on track to graduate. I have sent my college Applications to 4 schools and only got one acceptance letter so far. I applied to Fresno State which accepted me, Humboldt State, Fullerton State, and Sac State. I haven't heard back from the other three yet but i'm not to worried about it. I recently decided that i am going to stay home after high school, go to Cos or Pc and get a job and maybe play baseball. I plan on transferring to Fresno State after a year or two at a community college. My post-Graduation job for now will probably be working in the fields with my dad and part time cleaning service with my aunt, while i'm going to school i would like to look into being a PCA. A PCA is a person who checks the bug traps on the trees, that way the people who spray the grooves know what bug killer to spray for. If i don't decide to do that my next choice would be construction i have always had a passion in wood shop through high school.

Am i nervous about graduating high school ? Yes i am nervous about graduating high school because it's the next chapter of my life and i have to go out into the real world, get a job and go to college, to make something of myself and survive. So far i haven't prepared for post graduation other than Applying to colleges, doing my fafsa, and getting mentally ready for the real world. In my opinion getting mentally ready for post graduation is very important because i sike myself out a lot,i tend to overthink and think about every little thing, so by preparing mentally on what to expect will help me make the best choices possible. I still need to finish the rest of my semester classes, i am on track to graduate and i have my exit interview scheduled for march 16th. If i'm Being totally honest then yes i am nervous for my exit interview because im very anti-social with people i'm not too comfortable with and i get really nervous so i plan on practicing a lot. What am i looking forward to the most ? i am looking forward to graduating and leaving high school because as much as i've learned and had a good time with good people, i need to go start my life, meet new people and start my career. I also am looking forward to going to college and playing baseball, baseball has had a huge impact in my life and has made me strive to not only get better but be respectful, polite and all i could be without being a player who is all about themselves and cocky, because it is a team effort and the bond we shared cannot be broken. I am most grateful for my whole high school experience because going into highschool i didn't know what to expect but what i've realized is that people change and and you can't always follow your friends, you have to grow up and make your own decisions and make your own path in life. I am happy for what teachers i have had throughout high school too because i had some teachers who i really connected and bonded with, i grew to have a special relationship with them and became very comfortable with them. I have had some teachers who quit frankly didn't care and then had teachers who have cared so much about me that they would look out for me and i appreciate that gratefully because they could have just said ehh ohh well he'll learn, but they didn't they took the time to correct me before i made the mistake. They showed that they actually care, and that they are really hear to not only teach an make you learn but to impact your life somehow. All in all my school experience has been wonderful, every day wasn't perfect however there were many great days and i've learned a lot and made many mistake and have learned from them.
